A small pilot flame stays lit between fires. Behind the operable doors, a ceramic burner and a four-piece split oak log set give a realistic fire. The doors, ceramic glass, and safety barrier make it look and feel like a classic wood stove. Choose classic black or bordeaux enamel, with a matching warming shelf. Possible Downsides • It cannot be sold in New York or Rhode Island; the electronic-ignition Intrepid can. • Remotes and the fan are add-ons. • It ships for natural gas; propane needs a conversion kit.
