Hold out for gas or wood in those rooms and the answer stays no; hang this one and the room has a fire tonight. What Makes It Special The panel behind the flames is reflective, so it mirrors the fire and the media and the flamebed looks deeper than it is . Add full, high flames and you get a fire that reads as the focal point of the room, not a screen playing a loop. The look is yours to set: 10 flame colors and 10 ember bed colors , with 11 presets including a cycle mode, all from the included remote. Orange over logs for a snowy night, blue over crystals for a summer evening with the heat turned all the way down—without leaving the couch. It hangs about six inches off the wall like a flat-screen, or recesses partway or fully into it, and it plugs into a standard household outlet or can be hardwired if you’d rather hide the cord. Possible Downsides • It warms the room it’s in, not the house. Plan on roughly 150–250 square feet of comfortable heat. • Crystals are the only media in the box. Birch logs, driftwood logs, and colored glass embers are optional kits. If you want a fire in a room that could never have one, the Entice is the right decision. The room you used to walk through becomes the one everyone ends up in. The included crystals swap for optional birch or driftwood log kits, and glass ember kits come in amber, black, blue, clear, red, and topaz.
