You need a heater with enough output for the whole space, not just the chair beside it. The Lopi Cypress Deluxe is for the household that wants a freestanding stove as a real heat source for a large room or open floor plan. A stove sized for one room runs at full tilt trying to keep up; the Cypress is rated for up to 2,000 square feet. What Makes It Special Ceramic glass wraps the front and both sides, 745 square inches of fire view . Comfort Control on the GreenSmart remote lets you set a temperature, and the stove raises and lowers the flame to hold it instead of switching on and off. Battery backup means it still lights when the power is out. The included fan pushes warm air to the far side of the room, and an accent light gives a soft glow with or without the flames on. Possible Downsides • It is a lot of heat for a small room.
