A smaller insert keeps the couch warm; this one carries heat out to the rest of the room . What Makes It Special The Nordik 34 has the biggest glass of any Kozy Heat insert , more than 30 inches wide and 22 inches tall, around a high-definition log set. From across the room it reads as a full fireplace fire, not a box inside one. Fan, ember-bed light, top light, and remote all come included. With approximately 1,000 to 2,000 square feet of heat, it can carry the main living area on a cold night while the furnace holds a lower setting for the rest of the house. It is approved for bedroom installs as well. Possible Downsides • Logs, screen front, shroud, and firebox panels are all separate choices. None ship with the insert. • It ships set up for natural gas. Running it on propane takes an add-on valve motor.
