You want a fire that matches the room you have now. The 430 Mod-Fyre Deluxe is for the homeowner with a mid-size existing fireplace who wants a clean, modern flame instead of a log fire. Choose a log insert and you keep the traditional look; choose this one and the fireplace catches up with the rest of the house. What Makes It Special The flame rises from a bed of crushed glass in platinum, bronze, black, or cobalt, or from rock embers over Ember-Glo glass. Under-lighting makes the bed glow, and a top accent light shines down from above. Add sculpture to the flame if you like: driftwood and stone, birch and stone, tumbled stones, or cannon balls. Frame it in the Shadowbox or Metropolitan, or a Times Square, Wilmington, or Profile face. Possible Downsides • It only goes into an existing fireplace. For a wall with no fireplace, look at a built-in model. • The back wall comes only in black glass or painted black.
