Ignite Bold 74

Six feet of flame, indoors or out. Quick Facts • Heating Capacity: 0–500 sq ft • Viewing Area: 74″ wide • Fuel: Electric. • Controls: Phone app, multi-function remote, or hidden built-in touch controls with thermostat; timer up to 8 hours. • Fan: Included Who It’s For There’s a wall—maybe on the covered patio, maybe in the great room—where a fire would change everything, but running a gas line or a chimney there was never realistic. So the spot stays a wall, and the fire stays an idea. You need a fire that plugs in wherever you want it. If you’re after a big, modern flame for a space that can’t take gas or wood—including a sheltered outdoor one—that’s exactly what the Dimplex Ignite Bold 74 is built for. Choose it and the flame runs every month of the year, heat on or off; hold out for gas outside, and that patio likely stays fireless. What Makes It Special The Ignite Bold is certified for outdoor use , which almost nothing with a fire this size can say. Under a covered patio or an outdoor kitchen roof, it puts up the same six-foot flame you’d put in a living room. One install note: outdoor placement requires overhead protection, and our team confirms the overhang meets the manufacturer’s rule before anything is ordered. Because the flame is electric, the heat is optional . Run flame only on a July evening, flame and heat in January, and the fire never has to sit dark half the year. The flame itself is layered for depth, the colors adjust independently or in one of five presets, and an ambient light sensor tunes the firebox brightness to the room— over a media bed of driftwood and crystals . It also watches its own health : built-in smart diagnostics report maintenance and operation feedback instead of leaving you guessing why something changed. Possible Downsides • Outdoor warranty is 1 year compared with 5 years indoors, and outdoor installs require a qualifying overhang. • It’s a supplemental heater —sized to warm the space it’s in, not to replace the furnace. • App control needs WiFi where the unit installs; the remote and built-in controls work without it. If you want a serious, modern fire in a space gas or wood was never going to reach, the Ignite Bold 74 is the right decision. The patio you use three months a year becomes the room everyone ends up in, all twelve. One box installs front-facing, right- or left-corner, or bay, the flame and ember-bed colors are fully adjustable, and optional plug and linking kits are available.
